Former Home and Away star Ben Unwin has tragically passed away at age 41, and co-star Ada Nicodemou – who plays Leah Patterson on the popular Channel Seven soap – has made an emotional statement following the news of her former co-star’s death.
Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle, Ada (who is currently holidaying with her family in Greece) said her ‘heart goes out’ to Ben’s friends and family.

“I just woke up to the tragic news of Ben’s passing, my heart goes out to his family,” the 42-year-old mum of one told the publication.
Former castmate Lynne McGranger – who currently plays Irene Roberts – described it as a “terrible tragedy”.
“Deepest condolences to his friends and family,” she said.
A spokesperson for Seven Network has also released an official statement: “Cast and crew from Home and Away are saddened to learn of the passing of former castmate, Ben Unwin.
“Ben’s work in the role of Jesse McGregor is remembered with much affection.
“Ben’s family and friends are in our thoughts and prayers.”
Ada and Lynne both worked with Ben during his stint on Home and Away, and Ada’s character Leah Patterson had a romance with Ben’s character, Jesse McGregor.
Ben Unwin has tragically passed away at age 41, on August 14.
In an official statement to New Idea about August 14, an NSW Police representative said: “Yesterday, at midday, police attended Minyon Fall, Whian Whian, responding to a concern for welfare.”
“The body of a 41-year-old man was located. The death has not been treated as suspicious.”
