After Lisa Wilkinson stunned fans with her shock exit from the Today show last month, it looks like producers have finally found her replacement.
Confidential is reporting that the Nine network is close to announcing that Georgie Gardner will be Lisa’s replacement, joining Karl Stefanovic on the breakfast show.
Despite reports suggesting that Georgie wasn’t interested in the high-profile gig, a source has confirmed to the publication that she’s had a change of heart.
“She appeals to the right demographic, both men and women like her and she has the news credentials, which is essential,” a source said.
“Georgie is well liked and is perfect.”
