Shadi is the clear breakout star of First Dates, and now popular Sunrise host Samantha Armytage has had a memorable encounter with the reality TV favourite.
In an interview before the contestant’s third appearance on the dating show tonight, Shadi, 28, learnt the hard way that one liners do not always work when trying to impress women.
“I’ve got a new line that I’m trialling at the minute…’Hey Sam, are you an interior decorator by any chance? Because you’ve been lighting up the room ever since you walked in,'” Shadi asked.
Sam’s eye roll said it all, before she quizzed Shadi on what he was looking for in a woman.
“Tallish, blonde, a little bit older, more experienced, a journalist perhaps?” he replied.
Sam politely wished him well in finding the girl of his dreams before his appearance on tonight’s broadcast of First Dates.
