Em Rusciano quits radio

The pregnant personality has no desire to return to the airwaves.

Em Rusciano has confirmed that she will not be returning to radio.

On Sunday, the 39-year-old former radio star was asked by a fan if we’d be hearing from her again.

And the pregnant mum said, “No!”

“Oh, darling, no more radio for me.”

Adding, “Look, I am happy to fill-in every now and then but I don’t want to [return full-time].”

“I’ve got a show, I’ve got a podcast, I’ve got a kid, got a maternity line – I don’t want to do radio anymore, it doesn’t suit me.”

But it’s not goodbye forever, with the star saying, “Every now and then.”

She called it quits on her 2Day FM breakfast show with Ed Kavalee and Grant Denyer in September.

“The truth is when I found out I was pregnant, I made my mind up on the spot that this year would be my last year of breakfast radio,” she said at the time.

“I had intended to work through until December, but as my pregnancy is progressing I’m finding it increasingly harder to fulfil the requirements of my job.”

Rusciano is pregnant with her third child, a baby boy. She and husband Scott Barrow are already parents to two daughters, Marchella, 16, and Odette, 11.
