Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, 61, and wife Portia de Rossi, 46, are ‘barely on speaking terms’ and are ‘fighting more than ever’ according to a sensational US report today, which has reignited long standing divorce rumours.

‘They are pretty much living separate lives,’ a source told Life & Style.
Reportedly at the root of their problems is Hollywood star Ellen’s ‘jealousy’ over Portia’s career focus which has taken centre stage for the actress.
The publication claims that Ellen is ‘incredibly demanding’ and it’s ‘tearing the couple apart.’
‘When Portia is working she has to put her phone on silent because Ellen calls constantly,’ the source adds.
‘She’s determined to keep track of Portia’s every move and will complain if she’s home late and question what she’s done throughout the day’
In fact, according to the source there ‘have been times Portia has asked Ellen to leave the house.’
The couple are said to be at breaking point and ‘discussing counselling to save their marriage.’ Under California law, any divorce could be financially devastating for Ellen.
Friends of the couple are hopeful that Ellen will come around and understand Portia’s need for support with her career.
‘Ellen knows she can be unreasonable, she’s just having trouble adapting to the changes. Ultimately she wants to support Portia and her career.’
