Multiple US sources have claimed the pair are on the brink of a $450m divorce after Aussie-born Portia was recently spotted in floods of tears.

“Portia is at her wit’s end,” an insider tells the National Enquirer.

“As much as they try to deny any problems, it’s pretty clear they’re leading separate lives.”

The 36-year-old actress was caught on camera trying to conceal her tears, with a witness telling Star: “she had clearly been sobbing her heart out.

“Her eyes were red and puffy, her make-up was running and she looked unsteady on her feet. It was shocking to see.”

The Enquirer also claims she was spotted being comforted by a man believed to be her brother, Michael Rogers.

The breakdown comes after Portia recent discovery that the US chat show queen invested a whopping $38 million on a new home in rural California.

“People involved in making the deal were gagged by nondisclosure agreements, which may have been to stop them spilling the beans to Portia,” Enquirer’s source continues.

“It doesn’t take a genius to figure out this is Ellen’s bachelorette pad for rebuilding her life after Portia.”

The latest news comes after a string tense fights between the showbiz couple.

Ellen was left devastated when Portia rejected her pleas to adopt a child to save their marriage – just weeks after the fight Ellen was spotted on several occasions minus her wedding ring.

“They have been at each other’s throats for most the year, and Portia’s discovery of Ellen’s secret getaway may ultimately be too big a hurdle for them to overcome.”
