Until as recently as 2013, Conor McGregor was an apprentice plumber claiming social welfare and driving an old banger of a car, dreaming of becoming the world’s greatest UFC fighter.

And now, his money-spinning showdown with Mayweather – which will see Conor transition into boxing for the first time – is set to break all records and surpass the $600million generated by Mayweather’s 2015 fight with Manny Pacquiato.

An audience packed with 20,000 fans is expected at the T-Mobile Arena in Sin City, with private jets ferrying celebrities into Vegas as bets worth more than a million dollars are placed on the bout.
