Clive Palmer was the hottest topic in Australian politics in 2013 and now he’s made headlines again – this time for dropping a massive 40kg!
The controversial political figure has often been at the centre of discussion – which doesn’t bother him…unless it’s in regards to his weight.
Palmer, now 62, weighed-in at a sturdy 153 kilograms, well above the recommended BMI range for men of his age and height, but has since managed to turn his life around in the short space of only four months.
Scoring himself a subscription to a successful food delivery diet, Palmer has remained sight unseen for the time, emerging at the end an entire 40 kilograms lighter than he started.
“I’ve gone from 153kg right the way down to 111kg today and I’m aiming to get to 92kg,” he told the Courier Mail.
“My wife does give me a daily kiss every time I weigh in on time and that creates the greatest incentive for me,” he said.
Though any sort of weight loss is hard work, Clive remained positive throughout his journey, keeping in-mind a positive message: “I think it’s healthier, it’s a better example for people and it stands there to say, if you’re a fat person and you’re sick of being fat, you don’t have to be.”
