Just months after she announced her shock engagement to a ‘mystery man,’ Brynne Edelsten her life is now completely different to the one she led with ex-husband Geoffrey Edelsten.
Speaking to Stellar magazine, the 34-year-old said she is happier than ever with her new fiancé, 33-year-old comedian Brett Hunter, despite the fact she is no longer living the life of luxury.
In fact, she’s even swapped her luxury city penthouse for a suburban house share with three other flatmates.
However, despite the lifestyle change, Brynne insists she wouldn’t have it any other way, revealing how her life with Geoffrey involved her having no friends, neing unable to work or study for the first 12 months of their relationship and eventually going on to rely on antidepressants.
As much as things may have been a lot easier during my marriage, as far as life in general, it was very lonely. I’d rather have to struggle a bit and be happy,’ she reflected.
‘There were definitely times I fell to pieces, just not in front of people. I’m a happy person, but everyone has their moments of weakness,’ she said.
‘Everyone has moments where it’s really hard; there were some really dark times, but when things are really difficult for me… I don’t like people seeing that side.’
Brynne split from flamboyant millionaire businessman Geoffrey in April 2015.
In June this year, she shared the unexpected news on Facebook that she was engaged, however, did not reveal who she would be marrying until she was photographed kissing Brett.
