After weeks of rumours about his health, Grant Denyer has today confirmed that he won’t be hosting Celebrity Name Game until further notice – with Rove McManus stepping into his shoes. The sad turn of events follows good times for Grant and wife Chezzi at the Logies, where things seemed to be on the up for the couple.

The star says he is again suffering crippling back problems after a holiday visit to Bali ended in disaster for the trouble-plagued star.
‘Who knew an innocent family holiday in Bali would end with me flat on my back again?’ the TV favourite confirmed in a statement.
‘But the show must go on, and I owe Rove McManus a big thank you for stepping in to my small shoes and hosting Celebrity Name Game for a short stint.
‘A consummate professional, household name and all-around top bloke, it’s no wonder they chose Rove to take over while I take some time to recover.
‘The fact that Rove fits my wardrobe is only an added-bonus.’
The star’s back issues came to the fore in March, after he revealed an injury while working on the family farm forced him to take time out from Dancing With the Stars.
The star was recently looking very ill while passing through Sydney airport.
Grant was on the way home to Bathurst with his wife Chezzi, but at one point the radio star had to collapse onto a couch to rest before boarding his flight.
The usually jolly host appeared tired and drained, as he was still battling a horrible infection.
Grant took to Instagram a few days earlier to inform his fans that he was unwell again.
‘You can’t be serious! 4 days of this crap. Leaking like a rusty boat from every hole I have. Me & @chezzidenyer have both been crook as dogs after getting back from holiday and my test results say I have Crypto-Sporidium Infection of the bowel from a parasite,’ he posted on his social media account.
The horrible illness, which can last for up to two weeks, took an obvious toll on the couple, as they both looked pale and run down while travelling back home.
Get better soon, Grant.
