Queen Elizabeth II is renowned for remaining calm and collected in the most stressful times, even during a terrifying break-in at Buckingham Palace.
But it seems there’s at least one scenario where the 93-year-old monarch lost her cool, as new footage shows the Queen snapping at her lady-in-waiting during a visit to the National Institute of Agricultural Botany near Cambridge on Tuesday morning.

Heartwarming videos surfaced of the Queen refusing an offer of help as she planted a tree in the grounds of the NIAB, telling onlookers and aides she was “still perfectly capable” of the task.
But before she rolled up her sleeves, new footage shows the Queen handing her trusty black Launer handbag to her lady-in-waiting, asking: “Can you take that? I can’t do both.”
The NIAB’s chief executive Dr Tina Barsby said the plan had been for the Queen to supervise the tree planting, but she surprised everyone when she “gave her bag to someone to hold, and said ‘I’m still perfectly capable of planting a tree’ and she put the soil in herself”, BBC reports.
The monarch was at the NIAB to celebrate its centenary which was marked with an exhibition documenting 100 years of crop research.
Later on Tuesday, Her Majesty had lunch at Queen’s College in the University of Cambridge, of which she is patron, before joining the Duchess of Gloucester to unveil a new plaque marking the formal opening of the new Royal Papworth Hospital.
The Queen greeted crowds of schoolchildren and hospital staff from the critical care unit, as well as taking a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities.
Royal Papworth is Britain’s leading heart and lung hospital, having carried out the UK’s first successful heart transplant in 1979, Express.co.uk reports.
The Queen’s day in Cambridge comes after a series of royal engagements in Scotland, which she completed with her children Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh missed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s son Archie’s christening on July 6, due to prior commitments.
