So perhaps it is little surprise, that the 92-year-old monarch appeared a little baffled – and frankly somewhat unimpressed – when some poor soul attempted to show her the wonders of ‘augmented reality’.

Watch the clip below to see the awkward moment for yourself.

The Queen wore a bright pink coat as she fulfilled her royal duties on her wedding anniversary.

She accessorised with a matching hat, black gloves and a black handbag.

Her Majesty’s lesson in augmented reality began with her being told about a ‘digital twin’ that had been recreated of the Royal Institute’s library.

“If we actually scroll up, we can be inside the library,” the Queen’s teacher told her enthusiastically holding what appeared to be an iPad in front of her.

At one point, Her Majesty glanced away from the screen to look at what was going on around the room.

After persevering with talk of “3-D data”, the bloke telling the Queen about the technological wonderland then proceeding to show her a mobile phone – presumably with more “augmented reality” on it.

“Will that make life easier?” the Queen asked.

”Yes I suppose it would,” she continued, answering her own question.
