The couple have privately announced they will be joining the other members of the royal family to enjoy a seasonal break, that includes relocating to Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The castle in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, which boasts 50,000 acres, has been a regular destination for the princess since she was a little girl. She has described it as ‘the most beautiful place on earth’.

Now speculation is mounting that the princess will use the happy family get-together to make a special announcement.

Eugenie first caused pregnancy chatter when she skipped her “dear” relative Lady Gabriella Windsor’s royal wedding to Thomas Kingston in May, as well as the Chelsea Flower Show which she is known to attend every year.

Eugenie’s absence from yet another key occasion is sure to raise eyebrows among royal fan watchers who are convinced Fergie’s daughter is expecting her first child with husband Jack Brooksbank.

And that’s not the only clue the Princess is pregnant.

Eugenie has been sharing a slew of social media throwback photos from her childhood in recent weeks, and has remained out of the spotlight save for a single panel appearance in connection with the charity she co-founded, The Anti-Slavery Collective, last week.

Princess Eugenie shared five photos from the event for which she donned a decidedly loose fitting grey top that hid her figure completely.

The pictures immediately sparked a storm in the comments section with one user declaring: ‘I think I see a baby!’

Balmoral would be the perfect place for an announcement.

A place of happy memories for Eugenie, the Princess used to regularly journey to to the castle with her parents Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York.

‘I think Granny is the most happy there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands,’ the young royal revealed in TV documentary Our Queen at Ninety in 2016.
