Prince Harry’s beloved Australian fan, Daphne Dunne was laid to rest today in Sydney.

Family and friends gathered at St Phillip’s Anglican Church – the church where she married her first husband, a Victoria Cross recipient – to celebrate her life, after the 99-year-old passed away following a bout of pneumonia on April 1.
The Duke of Sussex is said to be “deeply saddened” by the loss of Daphne, whom he met for the first time in Australia back in 2015.
In October 2018, Harry introduced Daphne to his new wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
“I was looking for you earlier and hoped you’d be here. It’s so good to see you again,” Harry told Daphne at the time before embracing her.
But it was Meghan who really impressed the war widow who gave the former actress her tick of approval.
“She’s just what the prince needs,” the war widow had said.
