Sydney grandmother Daphne Dunne got up close and personal with Prince Harry today during the first day of the official royal tour…and it wasn’t the first time!

Today marked the third time the 98-year-old has met the 34-year-old, and she didn’t miss an opportunity to lay a number of kisses on Harry’s cheek.

After spotting Daphne in the crowd at the Sydney Oprah House, Harry greeted the war widow with a warm embrace.

“How are you?” she asked him

“Very well,” he replied.

“I heard the good news this morning,” Daphne continued, referencing the announcement that Harry and new wife Meghan Markle are expecting their first child.

Harry was clearly keen to introduce Daphne to the former actress.

“I’m going to get my wife to come over and say hello as well,” Harry said.

Daphne greeted Meghan with arms wide open.

“It’s so nice to meet you,” Meghan said before Daphne offered her congratulations on the pregnancy.

“What an exciting time, yes I’m so happy,” Meghan, 37, said.

Daphne responded: “It’s just what Harry needs.”

The royal couple spent quite some time with Daphne whose first husband, Lieutenant Albert Chowne, died aged 25 in 1945 during an attack on a Japanese machine gun post in Papua New Guinea.

Daphne has lined up to meet Prince Harry on two other occasions, including last year when she waited patiently in torrential rains for a kiss on the cheek from the young royal.

“I saw the pictures from the last visit, it was very sweet, Daphne,’ Meghan said while Daphne held Harry’s cheek with one hand and Meghan’s hand with the other.

“I’m so happy to finally meet you, I’ve heard so much about you.”

Not one to miss an opportunity, Daphne asked both Meghan and Harry for a “kiss” before they moved on to greet more fans outside the Opera House.

“Hopefully next time we see you we’ll have our little one with us,” Meghan told the overjoyed woman.
