Prince Charles can’t keep the smile off his face in the Cayman Islands

Cheerful Charlie!

He’s been soaking up the sunshine across the Caribbean on a historic royal tour of the region for the past 12 days.

And Prince Charles looked to be loving every moment of his final day in paradise as he made a whistle stop visit to the Cayman Islands.

The Prince of Wales touched down in the tiny British Overseas Territory with wife Camilla to open the new Owen Roberts International Airport.

Grinning from ear to ear, the heir to the throne cut the ceremonial ribbon and seemed genuinely delighted to be on Grand Cayman.

The Evening Standard reported a large crowd greeted the royal couple on arrival, with local children handing the Duchess of Cornwall a balloon as a gift for their 14th wedding anniversary which they will celebrate next month.

Charles flew solo for an engagement at Cayman’s Blue Iguana Recovery Centre where keepers work to preserve the endangered species.

The 71-year-old future monarch spent time with a blue iguana named Peter at the centre, which is located within the Queen Elizabeth II Royal Botanic Garden.
