After yesterday’s news of a tense exchange between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the Trooping the Colour, another strained family occasion is looming for the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan’s father Thomas is looking to spend Father’s Day alone as the rift between the two shows no sign of healing.
The pair haven’t spoken since he failed to attend her wedding at Windsor Castle last May.

Thomas has also repeatedly spoken to the media about their relationship.
In a statement the former Suits actress said her father’s actions had left her “heartbroken”.
Thomas congratulated his daughter on the birth of her first child Archie Harrison via a statement in May, suggesting the pair are still not in contact.
