And on Tuesday, it was revealed the Duke and Duchess, and Archie, may extend their time away from royal duties, so they can enjoy Christmas with Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland.

According to Hello! magazine, the royal couple are thinking of spending Archie’s first Christmas with Doria, rather than with the Queen at Sandringham.

The couple are said to be exhausted by their increased publicity and media attention and spoke about feeling “vulnerable” in the documentary Harry and Meghan: An Africa Journey.

The trip will be Archie’s second journey to the US, after it was revealed Meghan brought him along with her, when she jetted out to watch Serena Williams play in the US Open.

Speaking during an interview on Access Hollywood, Serena inadvertently shared that Meghan brought baby Archie with her when she came to NYC in September.

When asked about her close friendship with the Duchess, Serena gushed over Meghan, saying she is “literally the strongest person” she knows and the “nicest”.

She continued: “She flew all the way with a newborn to see me play in New York and flew all the way back that night and I probably couldn’t have done that.

“It kinda goes to show you what an amazing person she is and that’s just one of the many things that she does for me.”

Harry and Meghan’s rumoured plans to extend their stay in the US comes after it was revealed they are even considering relocating to the States permanently.

In the wake of the shocking ITV documentary, the couple both spoke candidly about how their lives in the spotlight are starting to take its toll on their wellbeing.

Harry has also refused to deny that there is a rift between himself and brother William, with him saying: “we are on different paths at the moment.”
