According to Page Six, investors are coughing up millions for a Broadway show about the People’s Princess.
“The royal family has never been hotter,” says an insider. “The timing is perfect.”
The upcoming musical has been co-written by Joe DiPietro and David Bryan, and according to Page Six, since Bryan, who is the keyboardist for and a founding member of Bon Jovi, Jon Bon Jovi and his wife, Dorothea, came to a run-through of the musical.
“Everyone loved it,” one attendee spilled.
According to the website, the standout number is “A Pretty Girl in a Pretty Dress,” about the day it was revealed that Prince Charles had been cheating with Camilla, and Diana emerged for the paparazzi in a sexy, black, off-the-shoulder dress.
The music is also said to change for the main characters, with Charles having a more classical sound, while Diana’s is pop.
