The Block 2022 ended in November last year but Dylan and Jenny‘s house didn’t get sold until early this year.
And now the price it went for has finally been revealed!
WATCH: The Block‘s Dylan and Jenny house gets passed in
As first reported by The Age, Dylan and Jenny’s house sold for $3.9 million – $180,000 less than the reserve price of $4.08 million…
At this stage, Nine has declined to reveal what this means for Dylan and Jenny in terms of profit, but it’s likely that the couple didn’t get any ‘prize money’ from this sale considering it’s much lower than the reserve.
Nine confirmed that Dylan and Jenny’s The Block house sold back in February.
“We can confirm House 4 has sold on The Block: Tree Change in Gisborne, in what is a positive outcome for everyone,” a Nine spokesperson said.
“Dylan and Jenny’s house is now a much loved property for a family who were impressed with the high standard of the build, and incredible views of the Macedon Ranges so close to Melbourne,” the spokesperson continued.
“All five properties on the most ambitious build in the history of The Block have now been sold. We look forward to starting the build on the next series of Channel 9’s The Block very soon.”
The five bedroom, three bathroom house – which features an impressive fire pit, pool and wood-fired hot tub as well as stunning views of the Macedon Ranges – failed to attract a bid over the $4.08 million reserve when it went to auction during the latest The Block season.
They weren’t alone though; Ankur and Sharon’s house also failed to sell on auction night.
However, after The Block ended, Ankur and Sharon’s house was quickly snapped up by Adrian Portelli (The Block 2022 winners’ Omar and Oz’s so-called “dummy bidder”) whereas Dylan and Jenny struggled to sell their house for months.
Winners Omar and Oz walked away with a record $1.6 million profit while runners up Rachel and Ryan earned a $169,000 profit during The Block‘s auction night.
Fan-favourites Tom and Sarah-Jane only ended up with a $20,000 profit but plan to sell the Ford Ranger they won during Landscape Week for $80,000.
Ankur and Sharon eventually earnt a $170,000 profit.
