Jessica Rowe has shot down rumours she could replace Lisa Wilkinson on The Today Show alongside Karl Stefanovic.
The 47-year-old Studio 10 host slammed the idea and said ‘hell would freeze over’ before she co-hosts the breakfast show again with Karl Stefanovic.
Jessica was fired from Today in 2006, after Channel Nine’s then-boss Eddie McGuire reportedly said he wanted her ‘boned’. The presenter was then replaced by Sarah Murdoch.
Talking to KISS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show, Rowe said ‘No, are you joking?’ when asked if she’d been approached by Nine for the coveted role.
‘I could think of nothing worse, myself,’ she quipped.
She added about the idea of going back to co-hosting the show: ‘I’ve been there and done that. I love what I’m doing on Studio 10. Hell would freeze over first, really,’ she added.
Since Wilkinson’s shock departure from Today, the rumour mill has been hard at work with speculation as to who will replace the popular host.
