Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison has taken a cheeky swipe at Karl Stefanovic after he labelled the Liberal Party an ‘absolute dog’s breakfast.’
Appearing on Today, Karl suggested Morrison had ‘no control’ over his colleagues after a series of leaks from his government in the wake of Malcolm Turnbull’s axing.
‘Your party is an absolute dog’s breakfast…Grab the Selleys, stop the leaks and you might have a chance. There is a leak every day,’ Stefanovic said on Wednesday morning.
But, Morrison snapped back, claiming the Liberal Party’s ‘Muppet Show’ of the past two weeks was over.
‘Karl, you’ve been through some torrid events in your career and look at you. You are Australia’s hero. You get over these things. You move past them,’ Mr Morrison said, in an apparent reference to his private life.

Morrison went further, adding he would ‘take inspiration’ from the controversial breakfast television host.
‘Don’t take anything from me my friend, just go on and lead this country,’ Stefanovic replied.
