It’s round three of the semi-finals in Aroona in the Sunshine Coast where Shayn and Carly are set to receive a garden makeover.
It’s a dream come true for the pair with Shayn admitting: “Getting our dream garden is better than winning the lotto for us.”

The teams have just four days to complete the “Aussie dream garden” renovation which must be “simple, cool and stylish”, be inspired by their timber hallway and include a secret fairy garden for the girls.
When negotiations begin most teams want to do the backyard – Tim and Mat want the outdoor kitchen while Lisa and Andy and Pete and Courtney both want the back garden.
Lisa said, “I’m sick of being easy, breezy. I’m done with it.”
Pete and Courtney give in and let Lisa and Andy as Pete thinks they can transform the front and up the street appeal for wow factor for another garden win.
Tim and Mat have a firm plan for their zone, hitting the cool stylish rule with a multi-functional space.
Lisa and Andy brave a fire pit again after being roasted by the judges for their fire pit last week at Tim and Mat’s home. They are also plotting a projector screen and outdoor cinema and the secret fairy garden.
While Pete and Courtney have the grand final on their minds. They are making a cubby for the girls to play as an element in their front yard.
Jamie Durie arrived on site for the golden shovel cash dash challenge time. There is $5,000 up for grabs and the challenge involves throwing balls from a wheelbarrow into a cement mixer while other teams try to block them.
Lisa and Andy win the trophy, the cash and the power to make a game changing decision by getting to decide who does the 48 hour fix-up room which is revealed as Harper’s bedroom.
If the judges declare the room a success they get 3 points, if it is a fail they lose 3 points. Since Lisa and Andy did the room last week, they are exempt.
They debate a strategic decision with Pete and Courtney closer to them on the leader board. Tim and Mat don’t want the fix up room as they feel too far behind with their garden zone after changing their BBQ design in the late stages.
Lisa and Andy declare they have never gone strategic before but it’s the pointy end of the competition and they have to look after themselves.
Pete and Courtney are too much of a threat if they get the extra 3 points, so they give the fix up room to Tim and Mat.
Lisa explained, “At the end of the day if those teams were in our shoes, they would have thought of themselves first.”
