Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon on hit series The Big Bang Theory, has opened up about the highly-anticipated wedding scene between his character and Amy Farrah-Fowler, played by Mayim Bialik.
Parsons told news.com.au, ‘It was such a joy. I found participating in the wedding of those two characters more moving than I thought I would.
‘If you’d have told me in year one, two, three, or four that eventually a marriage would happen I would have thought, ‘We’d leave on that note,’ but now in year 11 the fact we’ve been allowed to be on-air as long as we have, it’s remarkable.’

Parsons was also asked what he hopes for Amy and Sheldon in the future.
‘God, I don’t know,’ he told the publication. ‘They just revealed on Young Sheldon through a voiceover that he has children, but I have every intention of not letting that happen on our prime-time show.’
He adds, laughing, ‘That’s something left to the imagination as far as I’m concerned, but we’ll see if they want to throw a doll in my hand mid-season next year. Maybe that’ll happen.’

Parsons has been in a 16-year relationship with art director Todd Spiewak, who he married last year..
