She’s self-centred, deluded and pretty darn full of herself, but there is no denying Dr Mindy Lahiri is entertaining!
If you’re not familiar with the show, The Mindy Project follows obstetrician/gynaecologist Mindy, played by The Office star Mindy Kaling, as she balances her personal and professional life.
Now in its fourth season on US streaming service Hulu after being resurrected when Fox cancelled it, the show airs in Australia on Presto.
With a slew of guest stars, such as James Franco, Chloe Sevigny, Moby and Julia Stiles, Mindy has fictionally slept her way through some of the hottest men in comedy.
‘Basically, we just shuttle in the most fun actors, like James Franco,’ Mindy tells New Idea on the show’s set in Los Angeles.
‘I can’t be social because I’m so busy these days, so what we do is hire people who are our friends or we think are fun, so we get them in for a week. It’s the most amazing, fun, well-fed prison I could ever be in.’
