When Jesinta Campbell and Buddy Franklin got married in November of last year, fans were shocked.
In a new interview with Kate Waterhouse for her column, Date With Kate, Jestina reveals why her and her now husband, Buddy kept their special day under wraps.
‘[It was] Extremely hard. Especially because I worked nearly every day in the month leading up to the wedding. I was so excited and had to contain it all,’ Jesinta confessed.
The David Jones ambassador revealed that while her wedding day was ‘exactly what we wanted’ and ‘magic’, it was a struggle to not slip up with such a busy schedule.
Jesinta and Buddy also decided not to share their wedding day pictures to any media outlet.
‘So much of our lives are so public so it was important to us to have that one day just to ourselves without the stress of the media involved,’ Jesinta explained.
As for their honeymoon, the couple just wanted quality time together.
‘We just enjoyed each other’s company,’ Jesinta said. ‘We didn’t need or do anything fancy; just being with each other was enough.’
