Waleed Aly suffered an embarrassing moment on The Project last night when the subject of his manhood came into question.
His co-hosts were discussing the recent suggestion by scientists that chemicals in plastic are ‘shrinking male genitalia’ when co-host Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann asked: ‘Waleed, is this the real reason you started the ban the bag campaign?’ he said, referring to Waleed’s recent call for retailers such as Coles and Woolies to ban single use plastic bags.
Waleed was left squirming, before replying, “Do you get the feeling the scientists behind this were trying to look for justification?”.
To which Lehmo crassly replied that it was more like ‘self-fulfilling research!’.
Awkward!
