Bachelor Richie Strahan and his chosen lady, Alex Nation, have slammed an Australian publication after it announced that the happy couple had already broken up – just days after the finale aired.
In an interview with Popsugar, the besotted couple opened up about the betrayal, admitting they felt like that had been ‘thrown under a bus’.
‘It was like we’d bent over backwards to help them, and then it was a massive stab in the back,’ Richie explained. ‘We were just frustrated.’
‘We felt like we’d built a pretty good relationship over that entire three months [of filming], doing everything that they wanted and all the good stuff they required,’ the 31-year-old continued. ‘They could have done something really beautiful.’
As for mum-of-one Alex, 25, she wholeheartedly agreed with her new beau’s sentiments: ‘We’d done our absolute best to accommodate everyone, and then to see that. It was like, “Gosh”.’
