The simmering feud between Angelina Jolie and her father Jon Voight has exploded again – and this time, the actress’ daughter Shiloh.
Tensions have flared between the pair over Jon’s plans to buy granddaughter Shiloh a frilly party dress for her 10th birthday on May 27, with the veteran actor reportedly declaring it’s time she stopped dressing like a tomboy. “Shiloh’s such a pretty girl, and Jon’s not comfortable seeing her with short hair and wearing boyish clothes all the time,” an insider close to the actor tells New Idea.
“She warned him at the time not to interfere in her life, but he just can’t help himself,” the insider says. “He is always finding fault in the way that Ange is raising the kids.”
“But Ange just gets angry with her dad, and says that Shiloh is her own person and she needs to be true to herself. And you can’t force somebody to be who they’re not.”
Tensions between 77-year-old Jon and Angelina, 40, have been at boiling point for years. The actress refused to speak to her dad for almost a decade after he cheated on her mum, Marcheline Bertrand.
