Paul Walker’s brother delivered an amazing tribute about his late brother at the second annual Game4Paul fundraiser in Los Angeles at Attack studios on Saturday.
Cody, 28, hosted the event to raise over $130,000 for each Out WorldWide (ROWW), the nonprofit disaster relief organization founded by Paul.
‘Paul was just the most real guy ever,’ Cody said according to People. ‘The best big brother, the best son, and the best father. The best everything.’
He added: ‘This year was particularly tough.’
‘Things will pop up, things will happen, and I just want to call him so bad. We had so much in common, we had so many of the same interests, it was unreal. I just want to get on the phone and call him. But I can’t.
Actor Vin Diesel was also in attendance. Praising Walker he said, the late actor was ‘instrumental’ in his ’segue’ into fatherhood.
‘He was the one that told me to go to the hospital. He’s the one that told me to cut the umbilical cord. He told me to cut the umbilical cord! [He was] the only person, in California, that knew I was about to have a child,’ Diesel said according to US Weekly.
‘He must’ve been God-sent because he put me on the right path. He set me up. And when we did the first Fast & Furious, I was already 30 years old or something, but he was a father. When we were in the cars in between takes, he would tell me, “Hey, Vin, it’s not a scary thing to become a father” [and] give me all the good advice. Next thing I know, I am a dad … [He] is why I named my daughter Pauline because of the credit that Paul Walker deserves in my personal life.’
