The 47-year-old Australian was taken into custody on Thursday evening after Ecuador revoked his asylum after seven years holed up in the country’s UK embassy over his website WikiLeaks.
Julian’s WikiLeaks website famously released confidential government documents and footage of US forces killing innocent civilians and journalists in Iraq, and now he’s awaiting extradition to the United States where he will face hacking charges.
“I am in shock,” the “outraged” 51-year-old actress wrote to her 1.07 million Twitter followers.
“How could you Equador?… How could you UK?” she wrote, adding, “you need a diversion from your idiotic Brexit bullsh*t.
“Being in the public eye helped him evade rendition, torture or death so far. We must keep all eyes on him.”
Pam has been a long-time supporter of Julian, spending a lot of time at Ecuador’s London camp in 2017, before its government restricted his visitor’s list in 2018.
Of their romantic relationship, Pam has always played coy.
“I’ve spent more time talking to Julian than all of my ex-husbands combined,” she once told an Australian radio station, and called him “a gentleman, extremely smart, resilient, sexy,” on her own website.
