The 24-year-old appeared at Ringwood Magistrates Court in Melbourne after police issued a warrant for her arrest in January, according to Daily Mail.
The actress had been accused of covering up for her ex-boyfriend, Matt Arnautovic, who was allegedly caught driving her car at excessive speed on October 22, 2017.
The actress, who was nominated for a Logie last month, had shown “misguided loyalty” to her troubled boyfriend when she covered up for him, according to her lawyer, Rainer Martini.
Bonnie had allegedly told police at the time her boyfriend “had been with her all night” when he had in fact been driving her car in a dangerous manner, something he later admitted to on April 2.
In his summing up, her lawyer is reported to have made mention of Bonnie’s Australia’s Got Talent win in 2007, and her role on Neighbours, as positive character traits.
“At the age of 12 she won Australia’s got Talent in singing in 2007,” he said.
“She won a Golden Aria Award in 2014, a Logie nomination in 2019 for Most Popular New Talent … and she is an actor in Neighbours your honour,” he said.
Lucky for the star, the magistrate was a Neighbours fan.
After Bonnie pleaded guilty to failing to give information as to who was driving her car and failing to notify a change in her residential details within 14 days, she was released on a three-month good behaviour bond without conviction and ordered she contribute $500 to charity.
