Australian model Miranda Kerr turned heads as she stepped out wearing socks, sandals and a kimono in Japan.
The brunette beauty was out and about – attending an event to promote a sweet rice sake called Marukome Koji-amazake.

The event was held on Jan. 10 at Shinagawa Goos in Tokyo and Miranda got well and truly into the spirit by donning a traditional kimono.
The pale gold ensemble was paired with white socks and sandals.

Rocking a pair of socks with sandals has history within Japanese traditions.

Traditional Japanese sandals are paired with toe socks called tabi.
And Miranda isn’t the first celebrity to embrace the look.
Kanye West made headlines after pairing socks and sandals with a mint green suit – a look he said was influenced by “the Japanese way”.
