Calling it quits on their turbulent relationship wasn’t easy for Nicole and Keller, who both desperately wanted things to work out.
But with Keller’s drinking and pressure from Nicole to get professional help, this year’s favourites decided to part ways soon after filming wrapped.
‘I did recommend that he sees someone… but at the end of the day, that’s his decision how he deals with that,’ Nicole says.
But six months on, Keller has confirmed that he can’t get over Nicole – the love of his life – and will do anything to win her back, even amid her public dalliance with last season’s contestant Jono. ‘She’s the one that I want,’ he has admitted. ‘I feel like we are meant to be together, but I don’t know if now is the right time.’
Attempting to move on and heal his broken heart, the youth worker even started seeing someone new, but friends say that it was too early.
‘He did start dating, but he can’t get Nicole out of his mind,’ says one friend. ‘He was always waiting and hoping she would change her mind.’
