Bert Newton introduced the unknown teen on talent show New Faces in 1983, years before he was discovered at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Complete with iconic mullet and thoroughbred pins – he’s the Keith we all know and love!
The classic clip resurfaced on the Australian Kitsch Twitter page, where the account has its own ‘Coldest 100’ countdown – a collection of hilarious clips of celebrities singing iconic Aussie songs, or Aussies singing tunes ahead of Australia Day, a la, Triple J’s Hottest 100.
Fans were quick to compare a 16-year-old Keith to his future wife Nicole Kidman at the same age.
