Karl Stefanovic has broken his silence on his relationship with estranged wife Cassandra Thornburn, giving some insight into the couple’s situation as they move forward – separately – with their lives.
Chatting on the Today show this morning, Karl’s co-host Lisa Wilkinson asked TV viewers, ‘How much do you think your partner is worth?’
Breaking his recently acquired habit of not talking about his marriage, Karl simply replied ‘Heaps’.
With Cass recently spotted turning away a sheepish-looking Karl from their long-time family home in Sydney, insiders tell New Idea she has put her foot down in the wake of the couple’s shock decision – telling Karl she intends to keep their new $7 million harbour-front mansion, which they reportedly purchased recently.
‘Cass has sacrificed everything to raise Karl’s kids while he pursued his dreams of becoming a network star,’ an insider tells New Idea. ‘She has earned every cent she gets [in the wake of the break-up].’
