Sensational reports out of the US this morning report that Julia Roberts is preparing to divorce her husband Danny Moder – and actor Owen Wilson is at the centre of the brewing storm.
According to American magazine Star, Julia has been suffering an emotional crisis on the set of her new movie Wonder in Vancouver, where she was seen crying between takes.
‘Owen saw what was happening and came straight over,’ a witness tells the publication. ‘It was pretty amazing. The guy had her smiling again within minutes.’
Their on-screen chemistry, although entirely innocent, has thought to become yet another bone of contention between Julia and Danny, whose marriage has been plagued with split rumours for the past two years.
Julia has suffered her share of tragedies during this time, including her sister Nancy Moates’ suicide – which she blamed on Julia in her final note – closely followed by the passing of her mother, Betty Lou.
‘Julia’s tough, but not that tough. She’s a very emotional person, screaming one minute and apologizing the next – and Danny can’t take it anymore. I wouldn’t blame him if he wanted out,’ a source reveals.
If they ever did decide to divorce, at stake between the pair is custody of their three children, twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, 11, and Henry, 9. Star predicts that their fight for her $275m fortune, plus properties in LA, New York and Hawaii, will get messy.
