It’s one of America’s most shocking cold cases.
WATCH: NEW DOCUMENTARY TRACKS DOWN JONBENET’S KILLER
And now never-before-seen images of JonBenet Ramsey and new theories feature in a new A&E special, Hunting JonBenet’s Killer: The Untold Story.
Six-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey was bludgeoned and strangled to death in her family’s Colorado home on Christmas Eve in 1996.
The killer has never been found.

However American journalist, Elizabeth Vargas hopes this true crime documentary will lead to an arrest, as does JonBenet’s father John, who, along with his late wife Patsy, was cleared of her death in 2008.
A photograph of JonBenet taken just hours before she was murdered features in the TV special, as does a computer generated image of what she would look like today as a 28-year-old.
“In my mind she’s still my 6-year-old little girl, that’s how I remember her,” John says in the doco.
A&E hopes the highly-anticipated program – which airs this week in the US – finds the killer.

“By tracking down new leads and with new DNA tests, this episode takes a deeper dive in hopes of bringing peace to the Ramsey family.
“Featuring an exclusive interview with John Ramsey, as well as many never-before-seen photos, the documentary also pursues numerous ‘intruder theories’ of the crime. Vargas and retired FBI agent Robert Clark investigate the possibility that the killer may have ties to a group that believed in extra-terrestrial life and the end of the world.”
