Entertainer Jimmy ‘Giggle’ Rees has shared an emotional tribute, after his baby son was rushed to hospital and placed in intensive care.
Jimmy’s seven-week old son, Mack, suffered complications during a tongue tie procedure. His partner Tori revealed baby Mack was taken to hospital by ambulance before requiring CPR and a blood transfusion.
What followed was a ‘very intense, emotional and tough few days,’ Jimmy said.
‘Thank you for all the love and support, Tori and I appreciate it so much,’ the star wrote on his official Facebook page.
The shock news caused Jimmy to abandon his stint on Dancing with the Stars so that he could be with his sick son.
On Friday, Jimmy’s manager revealed Mack was in intensive care in Sydney.
‘Mack is currently under care at Randwick Hospital, where the ICU staff are monitoring the situation. Mack is in a stable condition, and at this time there is no cause for immediate alarm,’ he wrote on social media.
Thankfully, four days later, it appears the couple’s son is beginning to recover.
‘A time we will never be able to erase. Thanking the wonderful doctors and nurses at both Gosford Hospital and Sydney Children’s,’ Jimmy shared to Instagram on April. 9.
‘Thank you all for your well wishes. Daddy loves you little Mack.’
