There’s a twinkle in Sean’s eye as he watches his bride glide down the stairs.
The high school sweethearts have been waiting for this magical day to arrive for almost 10 years.
Trying on her first ever wedding dress for an exclusive photoshoot with New Idea, Ella starts to get excited about their big moment.
‘We’ve been engaged for almost a year,’ she gushes. ‘Now we have the house of our dreams, we can focus on the wedding.’
Sean popped the question last year while they were on holiday in Italy with a group of friends.
The couple, both 24, are looking forward to planning their big day now filming for House Rules has finished.
‘I’d love to have a festival wedding at home in Tasmania but it will have to be in summer,’ Ella says.
‘We’d love to get married down there on the beach and have a little festival wedding on a property – set up some teepees and tents. Everyone can stay overnight!’
With big families and a huge group of friends, the Hobart paramedics know the nuptials will be a large affair.
‘It would be quite a big wedding,’ she says, grinning.
‘We’ve got lots of friends and family we’d love to include, so there are lots of people who need to be there!’
As for her wedding dress, the blonde beauty is looking for something ‘a little bit classic’.
‘I do like lace,’ she says.
‘I like a bit of a mermaid shape. I do like the idea of a veil – I think that’s pretty cool.’
As for Sean, he’s not too fussed about what he’ll be wearing on the big day!
‘I haven’t really thought about it,’ he laughs.
Sean and Ella are hoping to take out this year’s House Rules and pocket the $200,000 prize money, which will help pay for their wedding.
‘I have expensive taste, unfortunately,’ Ella admits.
