Guy Sebastian has been absolutely slammed online following his polarising performance at the State Of Origin last night, and it seems the trolls may have got the better of Guy.

In a sad statement posted to Instagram late this morning, Guy informed his fans that he would be taking ‘a break’, whether The Voice coach meant a break from social media or music in general, is yet to be clarified.
“Just taking off to have a little break but I just want to say thanks to everyone for being so kind and supportive over the last little while. I feel so loved and encouraged especially from all the message I’ve received about Choir.”
The season one winner of Australian Idol continued: “So many of you have written about lost loved ones and struggles with mental health and I am so touched that this song is bringing healing and joy. Love you so much and thanks a million.”
Last month, Guy revealed that his song ‘Choir’ was inspired by the tragic passing of his friend, Luke Liang.
Sebastian decided to sing his song Choir at the NRL State Of Origin Grand Final on Wednesday night, which was subsequently slammed by fans of the sport who took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
It might not have been everyone’s cup of tea, but Guy certainly didn’t deserve what he got!
