American Actress Gal Gadot has unveiled the release date for the latest instalment of Wonder Woman, leaving her some 29 million Instagram followers giddy with anticipation.

Taking to social media, and Amazonian looking Gadot debuted the ‘Wonder Woman 1984‘ poster by director Patty Jenkins, which features Gadot in full body length armour and superimposed in front of a brightly coloured backdrop.
“Although all of us at Warner Brothers won’t be seeing you at SDCC – Hall H this year,” the Israeli born actress captioned the pic, “We are so excited for what’s to come. So until then here’s a little gift from us to you….🙅🏻♀️ #WW84”
The second instalment for the popular DC comics hero has been picked up yet again by Warner Bros after major Hollywood blockbusters such as Justice League and Batman v Superman were smash hits at the box office.
The exciting news comes after fans were left disappointed at the absence of the Wonder Woman cast, with the first film‘s stars Gal Gadot, Robin Wright and Chris Pine, not attending the comic con in San Diego.
However, this first look at the Wonder Woman sequel has already set tongues wagging, with fans (and fellow celebrities) taking to the comment section to voice their excitement.
“EPIC”, wrote Australian actress Isla Fisher.
While the official Instagram account for DC comics left a blue love heart and a power arm emoji in the comments section.
