Every year the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestant’s identities are kept a closely guarded secret.
Only releasing vague clues as to who may be heading to the South African Jungle, the show’s producers go to all sorts of lengths to keep fans guessing until the famous faces appear on air.
In fact, so paranoid about the names leaking ahead of filming, everyone in the know is sworn to secrecy and strict code words are used in place of their real monikers.
“It’s a nightmare trying to keep a lid on things when so many appointments and meetings and contract negotiations need to be widely discussed,” says our spy.
“And of course part of the promotion is drip feeding fans little riddles for them to work out who may be appearing.”
In 2017, former contestant Steve Price revealed producers revealed to him as ‘Tiny Teddy’, a name he found out when he arrived in Johannesburg.
“When I turned up, there was a man standing at the exit of the aircraft saying Tiny Teddy,” Steve revealed.
And now we can exclusively reveal the somewhat unusual topic for this seasons personalities – place names.
With each destinations first letter cleverly corresponding to their first initial to make it easy to keep up with conversations.
