Elyse Knowles may be impressing fans on The Block, but it turns out she wasn’t always so confident in front of the camera.
Despite her experience as a successful model, the 24-year-old has admitted she underwent speech therapy before bursting onto our TV screens alongside her boyfriend and fellow contestant, Josh Barker.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she revealed: “It was about confidence. If you are not confident talking in front of crowds, it can really get to you.”
“Confidence is key and The Block gave me so much experience with interviews, talking in front of cameras and being live and present, I value that so much,” she said.
So much so, the star is now considering pursuing a career in TV.
“I am willing to take on any adventure and I work really hard to get what I want and to deliver 100 per cent quality in everything I’m doing,” she said.
We can’t wait to be seeing more of her in the future!
