Magnum, PI was one of the highest-rated and most popular TV detective shows of the 80s – launching hairy-chested hunk Tom Selleck to superstardom.
Viewers would tune in every week to check out the stunning scenery, and we’re not talking about Hawaii.
Tom looked set to cross over to major big screen success after he was cast as Indiana Jones – but a scheduling conflict on the show forced him to pull out. And while Harrison Ford went on to take the role, Tom slowly disappeared from view, as TV tastes changed and the years rolled on.
But Tom is still very much alive and well – stepping out this week at the Blue Bloods 150th episode celebration. And at 72, he’s looking pretty damned good!
