Bachelor in Paradise 2019: Who is Brittney Weldon?

Everything you need to know about the Gold Coast contestant

Brittney Maree Weldon dipped her hand in the world of showbiz for a split second as an intruder contestant on Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins’ season of The Bachelor in 2018.

The Gold Coast native failed to make a lasting impression and was dramatically booted off the show after just two episodes, but she is clearly hoping to put things right by heading to Fiji to appear on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise.

During her time on the show, Nick swiftly labelled the bubbly brunette a ‘ball of energy’ thanks to her quirky antics and awkward dancing which left many viewers cringing in their seats.

The feisty 26-year-old made headlines by taking a swipe at The Bachelor‘s resident ‘mean girls’ – Alisha Aitken-Radburn, Cat Henesey and Romy Pouiler – declaring: “There were so many salty b***hes. The obvious three I didn’t get along with.”

During her brief stint on the Network Ten staple, Brittney was mocked by social media trolls with one writing at the time: “Her voice could be used as a form of torture during war time.”

“Let me pass Brittney a Valium,” another added.

The outspoken Queenslander announced her selection for Bachelor in Paradise on her Instagram account.

Sharing a promo photo with her 1,803 followers, she captioned she shot: BULA! Surprise.. Bachelor in Paradise here I come!” ending the post with a series of beach related emojis and a ‘Fiji’ hashtag.
