The Duchess of York performed her dramatic signature curtsey as Her Majesty the Queen passed by in a horse drawn carriage, which she shared with the Duke and Duchess of Kent’s daughter, Lady Helen Taylor and her husband Timothy.
Fergie, 59, stunned in a vibrant mustard wrap dress which she paired with contrasting purple heels.
The mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie made her flame red hair pop with a fashion forward emerald clutch by Gucci and a quirky green fascinator from sustainable milliner Jess Collett.
The Duchess and her daughter Beatrice also wore Jess Collett creations to the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor in London last month, Hello! Magazine reports.
Queen Elizabeth, 93, looked typically age defying in a hot pink outfit by Angela Kelly.
The Duke of York brought his ex-wife into Royal Box to chat to the monarch, something Andrew is unlikely to have done if his father Prince Philip was present.
The Duke of Edinburgh, now retired from official royal duty, is known to have little time for his former daughter-in-law since her post-divorce antics threatened to tarnish the reputation of Andrew and the rest of the royal family.
But despite her husband’s opinion, Queen Elizabeth reportedly retained a lot of affection for fiery-tempered Fergie.
Known to be one of her favourite events, Queen Elizabeth has attended Royal Ascot every year since ascending the throne in 1952.
In addition to Fergie and Prince Andrew, the monarch was joined by senior members of the royal family for different days of the festival, including Prince William and Kate Middleton, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne and her daughter Zara Tindall.
But the Windsors week of fun was mired in drama after tensions surfaced between Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge.
During their carriage ride to the racecourse, onlookers spotted Camilla, 71, saying something to Kate, 37, that left her angered.
It’s not the first time the ladies have come to blows.
During the Order of the Garter at Windsor Castle, Camilla was seen reprimanding the Duchess of Cambridge for chit-chatting during the ceremony.
