It’s the Queen’s favourite week of the year – and it seemed the whole family had turned out to enjoy it with her.
But at one point during the event, there appeared to be tension between Camilla and Kate as the pair engaged in a terse exchange. Onlookers noted that Camilla said something to Kate that left her angered and staring out the window in silence while her mother-in-law sourly spoke to her.

It’s not the first time the ladies have come to blows. During the Order of the Garter, Camilla was seen reprimanding Kate for chit-chatting during the ceremony. Camilla appeared to grab Kate’s arm to get her attention, then was seen crossly telling her off!
Things went better at Ascot for most of the royal family.
As if relishing precious moments with the 93-year-old monarch, all four of her children joined her there, and despite grey skies and some rain, it was a day of kisses, cuddles, laughs and stunning fashion.

Also there were William and Kate, Zara and Mike Tindall and Bea and Eugenie, as well as the King and Queen of the Netherlands, Willem-Alexander and Maxima.
With retired Prince Philip a no-show on the first day, the Queen’s favourite son Prince Andrew joined her in the first horse-drawn carriage along with the Dutch royals.
Charles and Camilla followed on with William and Kate, and the Duchess of Cornwall showed she’s growing in confidence as a future queen.
As the family got out of their carriages at Ascot an outbreak of family hugs and kisses delighted the crowds. Kissing is never easy with wide-brimmed hats on and Kate was seen struggling, as she planted a peck on Zara’s cheek.
