They’re one of the most watched and admired couple’s in the world. But after years of living life in the spotlight, Prince William and wife Kate Middleton have finally had enough.
Parents to three children, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be fed up with having fans always hanging around Kensington Palace and trying to see what’s going inside their household.
So much so that they’ve erected a huge new hedge to avoid prying eyes.
According to express.co.uk, about 600 trees have been planted and placed roughly 18 inches apart costing approximately $28,000.
And while they may be small now, it is expected they will grow high enough to work as a privacy screen for the royal family.
It is understood William and Kate are determined to give George, five, Charlotte, three and Louis who turns one later this month, a normal upbringing while they still can.
In a previous interview, William said: “There will be a time and place to bring George up and understand how he fits in, in the world. We are very normal.”
On fatherhood and protecting his family, William told British TV documentary When Ant and Dec Met the Prince: 40 Years Of The Prince’s Trust he is now more emotional than ever.
“I never used to get too wound up or worried about things. But now the smallest little things, you well up a little more, you get affected by the sort of things that happen around the world or whatever a lot more, I think as a father.”
