Before Meghan became a part of the royal family, the former-actress had a dream of releasing a cookbook through her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
In a 2015 interview with Bay Street Bull, Meghan spoke about her plans of evolving her site which focused heavily on food, travel, fashion and beauty.
“Who knows, I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw a Tig cookbook or travel collaboration down the road. The opportunities are endless.”
Her visions for Tig ended when she begun to date Prince Harry and subsequently shut down the site.
However, her dreams of releasing a cookbook did in fact come true. Last week, the royal launched Together: Our Community Cookbook, which she created along with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen in London.
In the cookbook, she wrote a foreword which touched on her love of food.
“I have a lifelong interest in the story of food—where it comes from, why we embrace it, and how it brings us together: the universal connection to community through the breaking of bread.”
Proceeds of the cookbook will be donated towards the Hubb Community Kitchen to enable it to stay open and provide food for the community.
